As part of our EDI&B strategy, Embrace, all our communities support our culture in building an environment that supports social mobility and we also have a number of key partnerships to support social mobility within our local community.

Supporting GMYN to drive forward social mobility

We’re proud to be supporting Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) as our colleague charity partner. Our donations are funding GMYN’s brand-new pilot youth employability programme, Level Up, beginning in September 2025.

The ‘Level Up’ programme will include 25 hours of paid training covering essential skills like financial literacy, resilience and workplace expectations as well as a 4-week paid work placement tailored to the interests of the participants. GMYN will also provide support and guidance for both young people and employers as well as one-to-one support for job applications and future pathways.

Smart Works Greater Manchester’s largest wardrobe partner

Smart Works Greater Manchester offers one-to-one interview coaching and a bespoke dressing service to help women feel confident and prepared for job interviews. Since 2020, we’ve donated over 5,000 items of clothing, shoes, and accessories from JD Williams and Simply Be to Smart Works Greater Manchester, making N Brown the charity’s largest wardrobe partner.
